Registration Notes
School Holidays
- Branch holidays include Hong Kong statutory public holidays (excluding Sundays), designated Teacher Development Days of Dunn's Education, and additional branch-specific holidays.
- No classes will be arranged and no tuition fees will be charged during school holidays.
Student Leave Policy
Regular Courses
- Leave Quota (Personal Leave and Sick Leave): Leave entitlement is calculated based on the number of terms enrolled. Applications exceeding the quota will not be accepted.
1 Term (8 Lessons): 1 Instance
2 Terms (16 Lessons): 2 Instances
3 Terms (24 Lessons): 4 Instances
4 Terms (32 Lessons): 6 Instances
5 Terms (40 Lessons): 8 Instances
6 Terms (48 Lessons): 10 Instances
- All leave applications, whether for personal reasons or illness, must be submitted to the branch at least two hours before the scheduled class. Otherwise, the student will be treated as absent.
- All make-up classes must be completed within the paid tuition period. No deferral is allowed, and overdue classes will be automatically forfeited.
- Once arranged, all make-up classes cannot be deferred or rescheduled.
- If a student is absent due to illness or a school activity and provides supporting documents clearly stating the class date, the absence will not be counted towards the leave quota.
- For regular courses (excluding Primary One Interview Classes), the lesson content is the same within the same week. Parents are advised to arrange make-up classes within the same week as far as possible to avoid repeated content.
- If parents already know, before paying the tuition fee, that their child will be unable to attend on certain dates, the Centre may assist in postponing those classes. Such requests must be made before the receipt is issued. No changes can be made after the receipt has been issued.
Short-Term Courses
- No make-up classes for leave will be provided for short-term courses. However, if a student is unable to attend due to illness or a special school activity and can provide supporting documents clearly stating the class date, a make-up class may be arranged.
Make-up Classes
- Once a make-up class is confirmed, no further leave or change of time will be allowed. However, if the student is unable to attend due to illness or a special school activity and can provide supporting documents clearly stating the class date, one further make-up arrangement may be considered at the Centre's discretion.
Adverse Weather and Extreme Conditions Arrangements
- Typhoon Signal No. 1 or No. 3, or Amber or Red Rainstorm Warning Signal > classes will be held as usual.
- An "Extreme Conditions" announcement, Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above, or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal > all classes will be cancelled (If students are already attending class, parents must pick up their children from the branch as soon as possible).
- If the adverse weather or extreme conditions signal is cancelled at or before 7:00 AM, all classes will proceed as usual.
- If the adverse weather or extreme conditions signal is cancelled at or after 7:01 AM, all classes scheduled from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM (including classes starting at 2:00 PM) will be cancelled. Subsequent arrangements are as follows:
• If the signal is cancelled at or before 12:00 PM: classes from 2:01 PM to 7:00 PM will be held as usual.
• If the signal is cancelled between 12:01 PM and 2:00 PM: all classes will resume two hours after the signal is cancelled.
• If the signal is cancelled at or after 2:01 PM: all classes for that day will be cancelled.
- In unstable weather conditions, parents may decide at their own discretion whether to send their children to the Centre. Any absence will be treated as regular leave, and make-up arrangements must follow the leave quota rules of the relevant course.
- For classes affected by adverse weather, parents may use the monthly one-time bad weather leave quota to apply for a make-up class. The application must be submitted before the class begins and before the weather signal takes effect. (This arrangement applies to both regular and short-term courses).
- If a previously arranged make-up class for a regular course is cancelled due to adverse weather, parents may use their leave quota to apply for another make-up class. The application must also be submitted before the class begins and before the weather signal takes effect.
- The monthly "Bad Weather Leave Quota" is non-cumulative. Any unused quota will automatically expire at the end of that month.
- If classes are affected by adverse weather more than once in the same month: Parents of students in regular courses may apply in advance using the regular leave quota, provided the application is submitted before the class begins and before the weather signal takes effect; Short-term courses do not have a regular leave quota for leave make-up arrangements.
- For all make-up classes arising from class cancellations due to adverse weather: For regular courses, make-up classes must be completed within the paid tuition period. Short-term courses must complete it within 30 days from the date of class cancellation. Any overdue classes will be forfeited.
- Short-term courses are offered only within designated periods. If no additional place is available for making up a cancelled short-term course, that lesson will be replaced by a Junior MC Class. The replacement class must be completed within 30 days from the date of class cancellation.
- All leave applications due to adverse weather or extreme conditions must be submitted before the class begins and before the signal takes effect (This applies only to classes that still have an available leave quota).
- If adverse weather or extreme conditions continue for one full day or longer, parents must apply for leave on or before 7:00 AM on the class day in order for a make-up class to be arranged (This applies only to classes that still have an available leave quota).
- Tuition fees for all classes cancelled due to adverse weather or extreme conditions are non-refundable.

- All fees paid are non-refundable and cannot be retained for future use.
